Tech-Savvy Teachers: An Exploration of How Teachers Are Using Technology in the Classroom
Please join AIR for a webinar on Wednesday, March 29th to learn about teachers’ use of ICT (Information Communication Technology) in their instructional practices and implications for supporting adoption of ICT in the classroom. The presentation and discussion will focus on results from the 2018 International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS). ICILS is a valuable resource for understanding the role of technology in teaching and learning, particularly considering the rapid shift to online learning during the coronavirus pandemic.

Presenters will delve into the role of ICT in various teaching practices and share how the use of ICT differs across different subjects and teacher characteristics. There will also be a discussion on initiatives and research carried out to support the use of technology in classrooms, best practices, and lessons learned. With ICILS 2023 currently in the data collection stage and data becoming available in 2024, this webinar provides an opportunity to understand the role of technology in teaching before the coronavirus pandemic.

Registrants will be given the opportunity to submit questions during the webinar.
