Welcome and Keynote for PROGRESS Center Virtual Event Day 1: Prepping for PROGRESS! Adding New Tools to Your Backpack for the Start of School
The PROGRESS Center is excited to launch Prepping for PROGRESS! Adding New Tools to Your Backpack for the Start of School. This session will include a welcome from the Office of Special Education Programs, an overview of the two-day event, and a keynote featuring the PROGRESS Center Director, Dr. Tessie Rose Bailey. In the keynote, Dr. Bailey will focus on critical considerations for developing and implementing high-quality educational programming for students with disabilities that ensures access to free appropriate public education (FAPE) and progress toward appropriately ambitious goals. Dr. Bailey will provide opportunities for participants to reflect on the purpose of IDEA that spans beyond compliance and connects the development and implementation of high-quality educational programming to the procedural, substantive, and implementation requirements outlined in IDEA to ensure FAPE.

Please note, that you will need to register individually for the sessions that you are interested in participating in during the event. This registration will only cover the Welcome and Keynote General Session on Day 1.
